ANTENNA SOFTWARE POSITIONED IN THE LEADERS QUADRANT IN THE MAGIC QUADRANT FOR MOBILE ENTERPRISE APPLICATION PLATFORMS, 2008

Competitive Evaluation Based on Completeness of Vision and Ability to Execute

JERSEY CITY, N.J. – Jan. 5, 2009 – Antenna Software, delivering real business mobility to the world’s most demanding enterprises, today announced that it has been positioned by Gartner Inc. in the Leaders Quadrant in the 2008 “Magic Quadrant for Mobile Enterprise Application Platforms” report [1], authored by William Clark and Michael J. King. This recognition comes on the heels of the company’s recent acquisition of the Vettro Corporation’s key assets and several major product upgrades, including the next-generation versions of the Antenna Mobility Platform™ (AMP) and AMP™ Studio.

According to Gartner, “We’ve renamed the multichannel access gateway market to the mobile enterprise application platform market, reflecting its maturation … Gartner has broadened the report to consider the strategic multichannel tools and gateways, as well as the platforms and tools that can be used tactically to implement and support mobile enterprise applications … More-stringent requirements have narrowed the number of vendors.”

Gartner also states that “the offerings in this Magic Quadrant will continue to grow in importance to enterprises during the next three to five years. Mobile seat deployments grew twice as fast as the overall application market in 2007 and through the first three quarters of 2008. Enterprise adoption of mobile/multichannel platform functionality will slow somewhat with the economy, but we expect that investments driven by cost optimization of business processes to continue due to the high return on investment (ROI) and relatively quick (less than 12 months) break-even payback cycles.” [1]

“CIOs and IT organizations are now recognizing that mobility is going to impact every area of business,” said Jim Hemmer, president and CEO, Antenna Software. “During the next few years this is going to be profound – and companies need to start thinking strategically now, rather than backing into the infrastructure later. Since most companies have already invested in mobile devices, networks and systems, the focus needs to be on making existing assets more efficient, containing costs and utilizing a mobility platform such as AMP, which harmonizes these elements and produces solid returns for the business.”

Used today by more than 150 enterprises around the world, AMP is designed for companies that appreciate mobility as the means to create greater customer intimacy, tighten business processes and stay ahead of the competition. Offering an open and flexible architecture that leverages existing IT investments, AMP serves as the central IT hub to integrate the four key elements of a comprehensive mobile deployment: data, devices, development and management, and to power real-time communications and collaboration throughout the enterprise.
